Last week I tripped on down to Happy Camp, California and spent a few days prospecting. Sunday the 14th I decided to come on home to Renton, Washington as my back was screaming at me to stop persecuting me. LOL. Now if you know where Happy Camp is, well there is a steep road up a mountain going west towards Oregon. About a quarter mile from the top, my pickup over heated and the tranny started acting weird. I pulled over to let things cool down before putting what water I had to drink into the radiator. When I was ready to leave, the car would not move. No oil in the transmission. After some thinking about the situation, no phone service, no more drinking water and car will not move. I had some motor oil, my last resort. I pored the motor oil into the tranny, got back into the car, started the engine, ran for a bit and it started moving slowly. It got me to the top and was able to more or less coast the way down with the engine running. At the bottom help came and that is another story for another day.
