Last week, while I was ministering in a UN camp for those - TopicsExpress

Last week, while I was ministering in a UN camp for those displaced by the war in South Sudan, the Lord showed me something so beautiful. I was looking at my brothers there, (here is a pic of one), loving them while I was speaking the gospel to them, and I was given a powerful glimpse of how God sees us. I saw who they really were and shared it with them. You see we may all be packaged in different skin colors and shapes and heights...but at our core we are spirit...We are made in His image. We look very much like our Father, His Spirit and Jesus. People can hurt our flesh, can beat us and kill the flesh, but He has poured His Holy Spirit into us and brought us into union with Him. He comforts us, seals us and protects us for His purposes. His Spirit and our spirit together...forever. I saw for a moment how He was protecting them...the real them...not the flesh and bones that wither and will fade to dust, but the spirit that was created in love by God in His heart and mind...He protects what is His with a tenacity and passion that we cant imagine. He is with us always, through His grace and the cross we are united to the living God! I saw their eyes glisten with hope as they understood the good news of Jesus in a new way and our spirits lept together as we felt His joy at our understanding of His truth. It is one thing to believe something theologically but it becomes extra special when God lets you actually see it in the Spirit. Thankful...humbled...in love with this amazing Jesus that loved the world so much that He had to come and His children that are so beautifully made in His image.
