Last week while checking out at the grocery store I noticed the woman who always takes me through the checkout line was in a terrible mood. She was short to two different customers and as I was checking out she was rude to me as well. I walked away just tossing it off as she was having a bad day. In the four years I have shopped at the store Ive never witnessed any type of attitude from her. Tonight as I was checking out of her line I heard her mention to another employee that she could not work late because she had to go to one of her other jobs! I asked her where else she worked...Lowes and a garden center she said. I immediately felt terrible for placing judgement on her for even a moment when she had the attitude the week prior. As I got into my car I felt tears of gratitude streaming down my face. How lucky am I to know how to help others get healthy? How lucky am I to have the marketing, writing and leadership skills that I do? Bottom line is this. Here is a woman who has been working three jobs for who knows how long! She most likely sleeps very little and is probably barely getting by! This is just another reason that we should never place judgement on anyone! After all...we never know what someone else is going through.
