Latest updates from Nigeria: The 28 member Malawi National Team delegation arrived safely today inCalabar at 17:15 hours Nigerian time. The team was well received at the Airport by officials from the Nigerian Football Federation and theFAM CEO and Accountant. The flight was delayed for 1 hour in Abuja due to poor weather. The team is expected to train at the U.J. EsueneStadium from 19:00 hours and training will continue tomorrow at theUniversity of Calabar Stadium AT 10:00 am. The team was escorted withover 4 Police escort cars and scores of Military police officers.Prematch meeting will take place tomorrow at the venue of the match from 11:00 am.The Football Association of Malawi is therefore requesting all Malawians to pray for the success of the Malawi National Team - TheFlames in a game against the Super Eagles of Nigeria. We appeal to Malawians to have self belief that success is possible but we all need to unite in prayers and fasting. A win against Nigeria will be for the Nation of Malawi and as such we need to seek divine intervention as acountry. The players are looking ready to die a little for their country and we appeal to all Malawians regardless of political affiliations to unite in prayers for the sake of the Flames.
