Le sigh.... After many medical tests since December, today was supposed to be my surgery day at Virginia Mason Seattle. The surgery is dissection of my neck in order to find the hidden parathyroid tumor that tells my bones to take calcium out of my bones and put it into my blood. Sounds gross. This also can cause foggy head I definitely have foggy head and in the last 2 years I have broken my hip, foot, knee, and arm. (Did I mention foggy head?) I show up at 10:45 and waited and waited and waited to get in. Its a 1 hour prep, 2 hour surgery, 1 hour recovery and I was supposed to spend one night in the hospital. (Did i mention foggy head?) There was an 80 year old man in the waiting room getting worried because his wife is in surgery and it was supposed to be four hours and now it is going on 5 hours. He said she was having a 4-inch tumor removed from her liver. After over two hours, the doctors assistant came to tell me that the doctor was stuck in a really horrible surgery and we would have to reschedule for Friday morning. My husband figured it must be the wife of that poor man. I felt so bad for them and said a prayer that she would be ok. I decided to go visit my dad in Wenatchee with the two days that I could. (Did I mention foggy head?) Going through Monroe I was at a stop light, the light turned green, all the cars started moving, so I started moving and realize the car in front of me didnt start moving and I ran into them. They were an older Filipino couple. The lady got out of the car and ran to my car screaming at me why did you do that? Why did you do that? I resisted the urge to say, because you remind me of my mother in law. (Joking) Police came, only fender damage, $124 ticket, shaken up yo. (Did I mention foggy head?) 7:20pm the doctor calls me on his cell to apologize! Wow. Maybe now he will do my requested neck tightening while he is dissecting my neck :) I think I will move in with my dad at the old folks home now.
