LeBron could dominate in the post. But he wont. He sees himself as a perimeter player, but he cant shoot outside the paint. If he played in the post and could also spread the floor and shoot once in a while that would be perfect. But as it is, teams like the Bulls and Spurs just dare him to shoot from outside. And even if he gets hot, they will take that every time. I mean, there were times when he is guarded by Hinrich and cant get a shot off, that should be an immediate post up when he gets that mismatch. I thought it was common notion that when your jump shots arent falling and teams are packing the paint (making it impossible to drive) the next step was to go down low and post up. I dont know whether he thinks that playing the majority of a game with his back to the basket takes away from his playmaking/passing, or he is just not comfortable enough to do it consistently ? I understand that the Spurs and Bulls play a unique zone where it looks like Lebron is in single coverage, but its really a complex zone where he is shadowed by another player and all the passing lanes are covered. But still.....Post Up. Rant over.
