Leafs game preview to cap off their 5-game road trip... Game #70- Leafs vs Red Wings Another game in which I dnt get to see the full 60 for in which Doc Reims even tho all 3 goals past him were legit goals that The Caps scored, jst wasnt enough to hold of the Caps for the win!!!!! Lets hope Optimus returns to his same form yet again after that minimal setback in a huge Original 6 & Atlantic Divisional rivalry game happening tonight down at the Joe!!!!! For the game in-between the lines, the D overall by the way I saw the replay frum the 3 goals Washington scored in the 1st (EN goals r jst the luck of the draw) played a pretty solid game overall, even if they were 1/2-1 step behind the goal scorers. With this tonight The Reiminister of Defense will get the start this evening after starting in his 1st appearance in 2 games. As for the offense against the Kings, they stepped it up big time but on Sunday they O had a bit of a setback wit AHL players & Dmen providing all the scoring in the game, so this important divisional rivalry game should be a starting point where all is Leafs fans hope they can step it up like how they were doing be4 Sochi. This evenings starting goalie as mentioned above is Optimus Reim (confirmed via Daily Faceoff @ 10:29 A.M. yesterday morning & on Left Wing Lock via Jonas Siegel @ 2:55 P.M. on Sunday, even be4 the Leafs game vs the Capitals even got started). Players MIAd in tonights lineup, no changes made to Dave Bolland jst the same news via Randy Carlyle on Daily Faceoff saying hes hopeful that Dave Bolland will return sometime on the road trip & new to the list, future Vezina Trophy winner Jonathan Bernier who is day-to-day with a groin strain, thankfully!!!!! Now for tonights line-up vs the Red Wings... Forwards Line 1 James van Riemsdyk Tyler Bozak Phil Kessel Line 2 Joffrey Lupul Nazem Kadri David Clarkson Line 3 Mason Raymond Nikolai Kulemin Troy Bodie Line 4 Carter Ashton Jay McClement Paul Ranger Defensive Pairings Line 1 Carl Gunnarsson Dion Phaneuf Line 2 Jake Gardiner Cody Franson Line 3 Tim Gleason Morgan Rielly 1st Powerplay Unit James van Riemsdyk Tyler Bozak Phil Kessel Cody Franson Dion Phaneuf 2nd Powerplay Unit Joffrey Lupul Nazem Kadri Mason Raymond Jake Gardiner Morgan Rielly Goalies Starting- James Reimer (Confirmed) Backup- Drew MacIntyre Injury/Suspended List David Bolland Jonathan Bernier Will the Leafs start up a new streak at the end of this road trip vs a bitter divisional foe or will the Wings send the Leafs flying home on the wrong end of a .400 road trip instead of making it a productive .600 road trip. Find out on SNT-O, province-wide (Ontario) or on FS-D in Michigan, Northeastern Indiana, Northwest Ohio, Northeast Wisconsin & Nationwide via satellite in the USofA @ 7:30. As for my prediction tonight, Leafs r gonna end this 5-game road trip on a high and take it to their bitter rivals vs the Red Wings, so Ill say they r gonna edge it out 3-1 for the Leafs!!!!! Thanx 4 reading this very late preview & GO LEAFS GO!!!!!!!!!! :D ;)
