Left my uncle this afternoon in good shape. Im already anxious to come back and check on him in a little while. Sitting in the El Paso airport - this place is filled with military people coming and going from Fort Bliss - watching them get continuously thanked for their service by almost everyone. Im called maam and readily chatted up. People are not aloof or indifferent to each other here. I miss my family and the pristine beauty of Seattle, but this place has a big chunk of my heart.
