Lego catalog. FIRST thing my son says? Hey, lets look at the *boy* sets. Now, a few stats - Big Farm (shown with boy): 121 pc. vs. Horse Stable (pink, shown with girl): 44 pc.... Knights Castle: 480 pc. vs Princess Play Castle 150 pc. Even with fewer pieces, the pink set has a toilet, shower, kitchen while the boys lacks domestic amenities. Do knights never take a dump? Do they never eat, nor need to bathe? My son, when asked these questions, fathomed they do not, because theyre too busy fighting to take time for food and hygiene. After a bit of conversation - when I reminded him how he had once tried to build a house for his astronauts out of Legos and was trying to improvise bricks into beds, tables, chairs, kitchens - he agreed Santa should *also* get him the pink set so his knights could, uh, relax from time to time. But he still prefers the blue castle because it comes with a working catapult, plus swords, fire, horses. And, he staunchly asserted that he prefers blue to pink. Umm, Lego, treating little girls as equal is far more than selling pink-colored bricks. They actually have a set, All-in-One-Pink-Box-of-Fun - cmon, thats soooo weak!! Sorry to break it to you, kid, but Lego just moved WAY down on the list of preferred gifts, from Santa or otherwise. Boo.
