Leitchfield, KY: DONATIONS/RESCUE NEEDED! Stella PREGNANT Pit Bull URGENT! - A man came to the shelter with this puppy that he had seen hit by a car. He was super furious at the person who had done this and not stopped to check on the pup. The puppy (probably 4.5 to 5 months old -- currently about 25 lbs) whimpered and snapped just a bit as we settled him in. His left leg is broken and will need to be pinned (pin will be removed after healing) and a fractured pelvis (looks like 3 places) and will require cage rest for that. We gave it some great thought when we learned his bill could be in the $800 area, but when I saw the wagging tail and an assurance that he should be okay when healed, we decided we would go for it and find the money somehow. Because he is golden in color and because his cost will be golden, and because of his golden personality, we named him Midas. If someone would be willing to rescue him or foster while he heals, that would be wonderful. If you cant foster or rescue, could you donate toward his vet bill?
