Unfortunately you are correct lol. Lets see how long we will feel satisfied with the Quattros until we start looking for something else. Cant imagine that today honestly being right up in the middle of it, but who knows in a few years time? For the enthusiast it probably will, but I wont be paying Datasat prices to get it and will try and hold out for second generation AVR/Processor I have my doubts. Did height and wide speakers really take off mass market? I have the impression the majority of enthusiasts still use regular 5.1 and 7.1 honestly. Plus, there need to exist material to play with Dolby Atmos first and foremost... just read press releases of the up-coming Godzilla and X-Men Blu-rays but neither mentioned Dolby Atmos like most enthusiasts expected or even took for granted. Personally Id much rather see higher bit-rates and so forth as opposed to more channels. Not saying Dolby Atmos cant be impressive but in the home the higher the sound quality I can get in 5.1 the happier Ill be. Why not 24-bit 196khz be the norm? UGH! Datasat prices are insane. Wouldnt be surprised if the performance level is too! - See more at The Speaker Shack: speakershack.co.uk/forum/2?p=13872#p13872
