Like ‘Escape: a New Life’, this sequel is also white-knuckle suspense at every moment—there’s something about David’s writing that feels like you’re being served with the literary version of sharp daggers stabbing you in the heart—and I mean that in the most positive sense, of course. From the tight, crisp prose, to the verisimilitude that makes even the most harrowing scenes so hair-raisingly believable, David’s uncanny grasp of how to create unforgettable moments in fiction takes your breath away. Those who have read the first book, you already know what kind of reading experience awaits you in this second one. Those who are still on the fence, just check out the first few chapters and see—enjoyment guaranteed.
