Let all political office holders in Nigeria, pay up the masses - TopicsExpress

Let all political office holders in Nigeria, pay up the masses they owe, if they are sincere about seeking re-election. It is very unfair for them to owe multitude of people for years including; workers, pensioners, depositors in distressed banks; and still have the guts to campaign for election or re-election. In the months ahead, we are going to confront them with their colossal indebtedness to down-trodden masses. They will have tough times trying to deceive the masses into re-electing them. There are many shut-down companies scattered all over the country, owned by: federal, State, and Local Governments in the country. Millions of workers and pensioners have been languishing, for non-payment of their entitlements. Take for instance, Delta Steel Company Aladja -Warri, owned by Federal Government. Workers and pensioners there have been abandoned for many years now. Many of them have died untimely deaths. The so-called growth in GDP makes no sense to them. It sounds like a jargon to impoverished people. The next update in online magazine in my website, will x-ray the hypocrisy and impunity of many elected leaders. The nation’s wealth is concentrated on few hands: among our rulers, their relations, cronies, sycophants, and other hangers-on! Unless this issue is properly addressed, Nigeria will continue to be among the poorest nations in the world, even with the highest GDP. Nigeria is in search of true leaders. If our leaders voted into power from head to toe, will be humane and pay up multitude of people they owe, they don’t need to embark on lavish electioneering campaigns. But, if they sweep their protracted indebtedness to the populace under the carpet, God Almighty will surely sweep them out of power; no matter whom they think they are.
