Let be and be still, and know (recognize and understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth! (Psalm 46:10 AMP) There are two meanings for the word be still we often choose to obey one or the other.. Rarely both. The word be still means stop. Let it go. Dont interfere. It also means, hush. A lot of times we might cease our strivings but we keep running our mouth! Out of the heart the mouth speaks. When you continue to rehash and talk negative emotions into a situation, you are doing the very opposite of what you should be doing, what the point of that verse is directing us to do know that I am God. When we strive we are in affect saying, I dont believe God will work this out. I must act to see it happen. And when we talk about the situation and those involved with anger or jealousy or negativity, we are insinuating that we know better how to handle them, not to mention spreading discord and division. So today, lets be still - stop striving, let it go, And lets also be quiet, hush. Most importantly, lets recognize He IS God and He will be praised. Hes got this. You dont have to control the outcome. He is El Shaddai Almighty God and there is nothing He cannot do, but you must get out of His way and let Him do it.
