Let me ask you a question. What if you and your family (spouse and children) went to go to sleep at night thinking you were safe to go to sleep but in reality you had no idea one of the most frightening things, one of the most dangerous and scariest things were about to happen to YOU, your spouse and kids: -- would you want to know that you had a chance to prevent that danger that was about to happen to you? What if while you were sleeping at night thinking you were safe; someone snuck in your daughter or sons room and not only had theyre way with them (rape, harm) but abducted them as well, before you even had a chance to confront that danger? Or, what if someone notorious kicked down your door and started firing; killing your children and you had to witness this before they put an end to your life? Or, making you watch them rape your wife before they put you both to death? --- some of you people reading this status may be thinking I dont want or need to hear horrible things like this -- but the REALITY is, YES INDEED, YOU DO NEED TO HEAR THESE THINGS. Ladies and gentlemen: the Fayette County Prison is falling a part. There are holes in ceilings, cracks in walls and inmate overflow. The nightmares that I just mentioned in here is a reality; the safety of youre children and loved ones are at stake. Not only YOUR children and family, but everyone else around you. A NEW, SECURE & MODERNIZED PRISON is not a want, but it is a necessity for the safety and well-being for this community: the children that live here, the beautiful women that God put on this earth for husbands like me and you to protect, love and help replenish our community are all at stake. What parent, husband or wife would ever let a chance in hell of something so horrible, tragic and preventable happen to their children, loved ones and community? Especially when all of this can be avoided and at the same time the Officers that go in there and do that traumatic work everyday; so that you can go to work worry-free and come home to your children for dinner and to go places in your community worry-free can finally understand that people care about them and they too are reassured that they have the greatest chance to come home from work to their families because right now the Officers are in danger as well. -- please; I am asking you from the bottom of my heart to support building a new prison for Fayette County. I am a father of two beautiful little boys and a husband to my best friend Carly Burncheck and if something happened to them because I didnt want to spend something like tax dollars -- not only would I be irate, but I would almost lose my purpose in living; as many of you would too. The reality is here ladies and gentlemen. These nightmares that I posted are realities and things that could hit your home soon; the place where you and your family are supposed to feel safe is no longer safe and if you do not support this now, something tragic that is preventable can and eventually will happen to our community. We cant add on buildings to the existing historical stone henge that we are currently trying our best to house inmates in. We cant transport inmates all of the streets on Uniontown to save a dollar bill, when children down the street are catching and getting off the school buses everyday. There is no way in hell that stone henge can be renovated again. The part of this that is VERY sad is that in the long run our community is not even saving a dollar on renovating or adding on other forgotten, falling apart historical venues to create more space for inmates. None of this is safe. The ONLY safe way is building a new facility to not ONLY securely and safely house inmates; but for the safety of your little girl that you just brought into the world or the little boy that you promised to keep safe since he was conceived. This is all reality. I am an officer here. I walk in these shoes. I see the reality. I live the nightmares. I am tragically affected every day by what I see not only for a paycheck but because I love my community. Hug your children. You never know when neglecting this prison will traumatically strike youre family because right now almost no body cares about what may happen to youre little girl, little boy or spouse and that HAS TO CHANGE.
