Let me get my numbers straight: we have approx. 316,915,000 people, less 40,656,120 over 65 (some work but for my purposes none), less 110,920,250 dependents under 16 and not counted in employment stats, for a total of 165,338,630 available workers over 16. Of that number 90,609,000 are not participating and do not count in the unemployment calculation for some reason, leaving 74,729,630 participants in the workforce and actively looking for employment. The unemployed of 5,380,533 ,or 7.2% of participants cannot find work. So, that leaves 69,349,097 workers paying for all of he governments activities, including all the welfare etc. for the other 247,565,903 people. This looks more like a 42% unemployment rate to me. And the a@@holes in DC want to grant amnesty to an additional 33,0000,000 (they call it 11,000,000) illegal aliens to compete with what little employment is available to legal citizens, and offering free government goodies to boot. This when they are already borrowing money to make up the shortfall as it is! Damn, were not a very bright nation with a bright future.
