***Let me just start by saying that I have not been drinking or using illegal narcotics*** In all of my life, this has been one of the most disturbing nights. Sure, there was that night when we played count the bubbles and I drank half a bottle of Jim Beam in efforts to impress a group of sorority girls that ended with Kevin Scott pulling a blade out of his jacket pocket and screaming Andy, run to the car. Run! And then there was that time in Lubbock where I vaguely remember an alarm clock radio waking me up to Bad Companys Im runnin with the pack that ended with me running two blocks in my underwear with all of my clothes nestled in my arms. But tonight...tonight is a night I will never forget. It began with me taking Camden to a Lufkin Panthers football game with my buddy Roy Tonai and his Girlfriend Nancy Andrews. They had the offense. They had the defense. They gave the other team no hope. A text message: Andy, Brooks has vomited all over the house. Im doing the best I can. Need reinforcements. We stay to watch the band...great band. I get home. Did I forget to mention that Brooks friend was over to spend the night? Yeah, so I put the kid in the car to take him home. Dont forget to get a 7-UP for Brooks while youre out. I drop the boy off. Enter the convenience store. As I go to pay two 20-something year old girls look at me and say youre kinda hot, wanna come to a party with us? I raise my left hand and show them my ring and say Im on my way home to clean up vomit. Sorry ladies, I cant make it. The cashier looks at me bewildered and says that happen a lot? I say Just today. God is playing some kind of sick joke on me. I get home and it looks like the Manson family killed a pizza in three rooms of my house. For some reason Brooks cant just projectile vomit in one place. :( Miranda Cooley Varkadoz is in a room nearly crying, Camden is watching the Royals play as if nothing has happened. I wonder what tomorrow will bring.
