Let us mourn today for the loss of this child and let us not discuss mental health, let us not relate to the murderer and remember that every disabled person reads this story to either understand that they are a burden or that they should be protected and that it is wrong to believe it to be justified. Take the perspective of the victim today. Let us have those discussions another day on how the mental health system needs repair and how society needs to forgive and allow parents to let their children go to a safe place be it foster care or anywhere but be killed at the hands of the person they trust the most.
