Lets Do It In Slow Motion, another one of my new most favorite - TopicsExpress

Lets Do It In Slow Motion, another one of my new most favorite songs by Latimore; from off the 1976 album, It Aint Where You Been...(Its Where Youre Goin). It is the fifth track on this seven-track studio album. But this one I never ever heard until earlier this year-2014, and already it is one of my most favorite tunes by this legendary classic soul brotha. This song here has that real deal raw 70s funk sound that is so essential to the music of various soul and funk icons of that decade. Its got that slow funk groove, Fender Rhodes electric piano solos, them notable trademark wah-wah sounds made by the electric rhythm guitar and clavinet, and the jazzy horn arrangements in the background. This particular track brings to mind several groovy funk classics by Rufus (particularly the song, Tell Me Something Good), Sly & The Family Stone, Parliament-Funkadelic, and Johnny Guitar Watson among others who rocked the 70s with solid funk jams! Listening to this tune always puts me in the mood for grooving to 70s old-school classic funk jams! :D (y)
