Lets just stop saying this is not Islam. Over 100 Muslim scholars upheld the ban against women driving in Saudi Arabia. Does this mean all Muslims feels this way? Of course not! But one has to understand, like any religion, Islam is NOT monolithic. These scholars are just as much a part of Islam as those moderate scholars in the West. ~Malalai Saudi Arabia appeared to be heading for a showdown over moves to allow women to drive cars after more than 100 prominent Muslim scholars voted against such moves and authorities warned women against joining a fresh driving campaign on Saturday.
