Lets pretend for a sec that you are put in charge of the finances of your village and you want to do some things, but the village only has so much money. Since youre in charge, you borrow the money to do what you want. And because some people want you to spend more money on things they want, it gives you the excuse to borrow more money than the village has, because you dont want them to get mad and make you lose your job over the finances. Lets say this happens for a while and no one seems to notice or care. But then comes along a handful of these sniveling snooping people who are upset with you for mishandling the funds and have the audacity to expect you to not spend more money than what the village has because the debt will eventually have to be paid off by the next generation. Before you know it, they are threatening your cushy job and your ability to mishandle the funds and thats not fair since youve always been able to do what you want. And some people are getting mad because they want you to give them what they want too even if they dont have the money for it! Who do these snooping people think they are trying to make you be responsible! What would you do about these holier than thou people? Well, you could call them names and say they are terrorists holding the village hostage from having what it wants. You have of course learned long ago that you must demonize the opposition since most people dont know or care what youve been doing all this time. Even though all these guys have done is demand that you be responsible with the villages money, you must make them look like party poopers who want to ruin everyones good time. Yea, your children and grandchildren will have to pay the bill for your mishandling of the funds, but you dont really give a damn about them any way. These nosey people, lets call them Tea Partiers, must be stopped, so you might just want to make them look like the bad guys.
