Lets talk Platelets. Yep those tiny cell fragments in your blood that help you stop bleeding. Platelets are vital in treating trauma, burn, and cancer patients to name a few. We are in need of dedicated Platelet Apheresis donors here at Robertson Blood Center. Platelet Apheresis takes about 2 hours to complete. During that time you can relax, watch movies, eat cookies, have juice, and feel proud that your time is spent saving lives. Donors can donate platelets once every 2 weeks which is great because Apheresis Platelets are only usable up to 5 days after collection. Apheresis Platelet Donations are by appointment, please call 254-288-3354 or 254-553-6972.
