Letter to the my UNBORN CHILD It is Tuesday, 08, 04, 2014; My Location is Gulu; My Vision is a Democratic Uganda by the year 2016. I still believe that change is soon coming to our beloved country. A country where the government is still slow, unfair, corrupt, and occupied by greedy politicians living on graft and sinecure. A country where Leaders have become Dealers. A country where the military, the Judiciary, the police and the Electoral Commission is commanded by one ‘supreme’ leader. A leader who reminds me of the movie “The Dictator – Aladeen”. And, most troubling of all, it’s become notoriously resistant to reform. Election after election, new candidates stride up to the platform, with promises of a better Uganda. Though some of them seem promising, the powers to declare one a President lies in the hands of this ‘Supreme Leader’. He can Turn your 80% votes to become his 20% votes. He decides who to be promoted and who to be demoted. Large sums of taxpayers’ money are being wasted to pave way for the forthcoming elections, and yet the taxpayers’ decisions are not taken into action. We only participate in the election exercises for the purpose of reporting and blindfolding the international community that our beloved country is democratic. I was personally born in these chains and trust me, i ought to break them for a brighter tomorrow. A brighter tomorrow for my unborn child! They ought to remember that Uganda is a fast-ticking time bomb. They should resign and confess before it is too late. It’s time to do something about it, before the clock runs out. Kaboooooooooomb. The first step will be for the Ugandans to take back their country-to overthrow a governmental system that has gone rotten at the core, and replace it with a refreshed, strengthened democracy that serves all the people, all the time. Let us begin. Pamoja Tunaweza. God Bless Uganda, I pray that Museveni leaves Power Peacefully!
