Blackhurst (his brother-in-law) was killed in action near Ploegsteert in Belgium on the 10th April 1918. Some of the letters and Pte. Comptons bible will go on display in the Remembrance Experience exhibition in the Coach House at Astley Hall in Chorley. The photograph is of Pte. Compton.
