Letting go. It was never a simple task, letting someone go, butsometimes you just had to. That was the way the world worked. Nothing lasts forever and these strange feelings you develop for one person; and one person only, they will go away. They will fade after due course and this, this was just a way of life. Nothing could last forever. Sometimes, the feelings do not fade and that doesn’t become the reason why the love would end, no. Something else occurs, something that would stop the other person from having such emotions and attachment to you. They may not love you back and thus, you must find another to give your heart to. Someone who would care for you in that manner, but you may not appreciate as much as the one who wouldn’t hold the possession of your heart. Then, there were some who would indeed feel the same way, but wouldn’t always act towards it, they may even seek these desires they want from you from somebody else, or maybe they highly desire such pleasures that they just cannot wait to do so in your company. It would break a heart, but that is not our story. There are some who do not act upon their emotions and desire of the person; in fact, they may even come to denying any feelings for them. This was one of the worst situations to fall in love, when you know that you can never have them. Something would get in the way or there would be someone else. They loved another. But they didn’t. They loved you. They had always loved you but they just could never act upon it, they were in the exact same position as you. They never wanted to fall in love with you. They cannot stand to see you with anybody else, but they can never say anything or even tell a soul about it. Because they know, as you do, it’s never to be. They are not the one who you most truly desire. They are as blind as you are. So, that person you see them with; that person who you wish were you as you watch from a distance, with the feeling of your heart sinking to the bottom of your chest. They also wished it was you currently in their arms and whom they were joking with. But you see, you are both in denial and you don’t want each other, but you truly do love them. And then with this, comes the most difficult part. Letting go. You feel that slow, stabbing pain in your chest as you try to conjure up a way of doing this. That love you held for them, it had no point, no reason to even exist anymore and frankly; it was pulling you down. The weight of your heart dragged you across life itself, just waiting for it to all come to an end. Happiness didn’t seem like an option for you anymore, so with this; You let go. You let go the only way you knew how, the only way you felt would end it all; End all of these emotions and feelings all together. The race of your heartbeat finally came to a halt. And as you spilled your story of heartbreak into the note, they came to realise that with this motion, you gave up your love. And with this, they realised, that you could have never truly loved them if you could give up so easily. And thus, they finally let you go...!!! [ VG]
