Leyton Big Weekender Saturday 13 July -: 1pm - 8pm Film Festival Sunday 14 July -: 1pm - 6pm - Caribbean Carnival Free event - no ticket required. No glass bottles will be allowed onsite. Please be aware of road closures in place on Sunday 14 July due to the Carnival and there will be no parking onsite over the weekend. There will be dedicated bicycle parking at the venue. Celebrating Caribbean culture, this film festival on Saturday will showcase Disney classics and family favourites, whilst Sunday will see the return of our landmark Caribbean Carnival. Colourful costumes, uplifting music and rhythmic dance combine to create an atmosphere that’s perfect for the whole family. The carnival procession will begin at 1pm from Leyton Cricket Ground and will return to the grounds at 2.30pm. (approximate timings) Films we will be showing (Saturday only): • Madagascar (1pm) • Aladdin (2.40pm) • The Nutty Professor (4.30pm) • Men in Black 1 (6.15pm) Artists performing onstage (Sunday only): • X7eaven Dance Group • Jodi-Ann • Christian De-Gallerie • Mizz Camara • Ebony Steel Band • The Trenchtown Experience (Bob Marley cover band) • Sandra Cross • Peter Hunningale **Unfortunately Peter Hunningale has been taken ill and is not performing - we wish Peter a speedy recovery. The fantastic Michael Gordon will be replacing Peter in his timeslot, we look forward to having him perform!
