Life is a series of moments - long and short ... I just spent a profound and wonderful moment this weekend with a group of strong and courageous women each who lost a child. Their fortitude and love continues to overwhelm me. They shared their stories of love, happiness and pain with clear big voices. They are my heroes. Thank you to Yvette Godfrey Fournier who graciously opened up the doors to her houses at Spaces of the Heart to bring in the smiles and the tears. Also, Yvette thank you for the gorgeous cross and heart painting. I will treasure them always. They will grace my office walls so all the people that come to me can feel your love. Arden Donahue was wonderful in leading the group in healing through dance. She created an atmosphere of unique expression and fun. Robin P. Sanson invited each member of the group into her studio to create a memory box of their child. The boxes are beautiful testimonies to lives ended too soon. Anne Castaldo shared her personal journey of pain and growth as she passed on the tools of coping with the loss of a child. She helped end the retreat on a note of hope. Thank you God, for making this all happen in a way that was perfect for all of us. To everyone - tonight and all your tomorrows remember to count your blessings .... tell your children, your spouse, your family and friends that you love them; hug them and dont sweat the small stuff. Love as big as you can and let them love you back. xox
