TRAINING COURSES TENABLE AT DOMASI COLLEGE OF EDUCATION BACHELOR OF EDUCATION (SECONDARY EDUCATION) IN NOVEMBER, 2014 Applications are invited from suitably qualified Malawians for a two-year course leading, on successful completion, to a Bachelor of Education Degree (Secondary Education). Entry Requirements: (a) Applicants for Degree in Secondary Education must be: (i) Serving Diploma teachers with a minimum of two (2) years teaching experience at that level; and (ii) Not more than 45 years of age. Programmes and Qualifications: Programme: Degree in Education (Humanities) i. English and Linguistics and African Languages ii. Geography and Theology and Religious Studies iii. Geography and Social Studies iv. Social Studies and Theology and Religious Studies Applicants for option (i) must have a Diploma in Education with at least a credit and be specialists in English and Linguistics and African Languages. Applicants for option (ii) must have a Diploma in Education with at least a credit and be specialists in Geography and Theology and Religious Studies. Applicants for option (iii) must have a Diploma in Education with at least a credit and be specialists in Geography and Social Studies. Applicants for option (iv) must have a Diploma in Education with at least a credit and be specialists in Social Studies and Theology and Religious Studies. 5. Training Conditions: Trainees will be required to pay a tuition fee of K220, 000 per academic year for the Degree in Secondary which is subject to adjustment as determined by the College from time to time. 6. Method of Application Applicants should: i. attach a photocopy of the Diploma certificate ii. indicate years of teaching service iii. age iv. apply for the d egree programme through their respective Education Division Managers’ offices 7. Processing Fee All applicants for Degree programme should pay a non-refundable processing fee of K4,000.00.
