Posting the text of my email this morning on Facebook so that my LFES friends can share with other LFES parents - Ive made this public. Please message me or email if youd like to help out! ============================================== Hi LFES Friends, Hope you all had an amazing summer! Were anxious to start school again and Im sure you are too. Ive been out to visit our amazing teachers these past two weeks to send them our support! Id love to show our teachers just how much we appreciate and support them at LFES and was hoping for your help. Id like to organize a decorate the picket line in support of our teachers (lame name, I know). Its a very simple way to show our support! Id ask you and/or your child to take a regular 8 x 11 piece of paper and decorate it with a little statement of WHY you love teachers and colour it fancy. Sunday evening, Im going to laminate these and bring them to LFES and tie them up along the fence and I hope to cover it all with our words of love and support! The weather is supposed to cooperate and both Sunday and Monday have no chance of rain. This gives you two options: 1) Drop off your decorated sign to me by Sunday afternoon. I will take care of laminating and getting it to the school Sunday night. Please email me for my address. OR 2) Come down to LFES around 6:30pm Sunday evening with your decorated sheet ready to go then and help put it up. Id love a few helping hands (parents and kids too!). In the event that the strike is called off before Monday, I would like to still go ahead with this project! Id really like to involve the whole school in this project because I truly think we have an amazing group of teachers at LFES! My contacts are limited though - would you please forward this to as many LFES families as you can? An older siblings class from last year? A friend? Please forward to anyone you know at LFES!
