Life is filled with paradoxes. One side of the coin of life says, When you think you cant, you can. The other side says says the opposite. Tonight I realized i wanted to do something very badly, but I wont. That reminded me of a story about a paradox, one Ive never told. When I was a kid I loved magic, creating illusions to go with music I was studying made the learning more fun. But, by the time I reached high school magic had lost its charm. Later, in college I learned about hypnosis, and eventually studied with some of the best in the business: Barrie Konicov, Gil Boyne, Sidney Schneider, McGill, and others. Until I had a family and moved to the suburbs I enjoyed doing a hypnosis act for fun and profit and maintained a part time hypnotherapy practice in Chicago. I did workshops on hypnosis for dentists and psychotherapists, and taught a class on self hypnosis at Mundelein College, the last free standing Roman Catholic womens college in Illinois. Therein lies a true story, one I will have to tell you someday . . . ;-)
