Life is in the blood..... Thursday night, as I watched my momma bleed out, I could feel her slipping away. In that moment, all I could do was hold her and pray in the Spirit as I did. Her face went completely white, absolutely no color at all. I could sense her spirit pulling away from me; she was losing so much blood....her life was in that blood and as her blood left her body, her life began to slip away. Finally, the nurses began to help me. We got her back Into the bed, and the decision for surgery was made. My Dad and sisters made it up before they wheeled her back for surgery. We said our goodbyes not knowing what would happen in the next two hours. She was still bleeding as they took her back...and all I could think about was the phrase LIFE is in the Blood! Mom is about 72 hours post op and she is improving every day, but I still cant get the images, emotions, and that phrase; Life is in the Blood, out of my head. Obviously, you cant live with out the blood that flows through your veins, but even more importantly, I believe God was impressing upon me just how crucial the Blood of Christ is concerning our eternal life, the life after this one. Yes, life is in the blood, the blood of Jesus! Without that blood you are eternally dead!! With it, you will live with Him forever!! I cant imagine not knowing Christ when you go through something like what our family is going through right now. Life is precious; and without the blood of Jesus you really dont know what it is to live!! The life is in the Blood; the blood of Christ Jesus!!!!
