@asari. Nigeria has been plagued by ethnic bigotry, political subterfuge, religious extremity. Before now, i admired you as an intellectual, but this comment takes the shine off u and portrays u as an ethnic bigot.. How can u ascribe the victory of those selfless, sacrificing, indefatigable boys to GEJ? Did we vote GEJ to win football laurels, but to transform Nigeria? Did GEJ play the games with the boys? These were boys pooled from across tribes and ethnic region in Nigeria and if my memory serves me right, it took the super skills & combined football genius of an Hausa boy and an ibo to make the difference for Nigeria. I cant recollect seeing anyone from the south-south, particularly ijaw tribe making the team. Please dont reduce the achievements of these wonderful boys to an ethnic argument. GEJ was elected to make an impact in the polity, I expect him to have done so by now, but alas we are still hoping!
