Like much of the Country, Ive been watching the news a lot more of late. Ive watched riots, looting, and arson taking place in Ferguson, Mo. and protests sweeping the country after the Grand Jurys decisions in two controversial police involved deaths of Black Americans. Some how as a country, with the help of race baiting morons and out of control ratings based media, we have created a War on Law Enforcement; men and women of all races, religion, and cultures, charged with keeping the peace and upholding the law, while protecting life and preserving property. Who ya gonna call? It aint gonna be the damn Ghost Busters. Law enforcement in Ferguson, Mo. had bottles of piss and worse thrown at them. The NYPD right now is under attack, being spit on and cursed. The same NYPD that ran into the World Trade Center to save people lives, doing the same thing cops across the country do every day. RISKING THEIR LIVES TO SAVE OTHERS! Law enforcement officers (LEO) have families, they bleed, they feel, and unfortunately sometimes make mistakes. We are all humans after all. If you attack a police officers or resist arrest, youve made a decision, a poor one, and it isnt gonna end well. Many cops are seriously hurt, or killed, because of non-compliant subjects. The legal system we have isnt perfect either, but two different multiracial collections of citizens reviewed all the facts, heard the witness testimony of the cases and both declined to indict the LEO. Do cops get the benefit of the doubt sometimes? Maybe, and for good reason. LEOs see and deal with things most people cant even imagine, The out of sight, out of mind complex so many Americans have these days. So keep in mind, while you are at your 9-5 office job sitting at your desk sipping youre starbucks, having all day to decide weather or not to send an e-mail or where youre gonna eat lunch and with who. There are cops out in the streets, keeping the peace, sometimes making LIFE AND DEATH decisions in fractions of a second. #yourworstdayisacopseveryday I read this on a LEO chat forum today. Makes me sad, but...damn v v What officers SHOULD do is nothing. This may sound horrible, but as we all have been shown, this is the truth. Most officers dont live in the neighborhood they patrol in, so if the citizens dont care about the neighborhood [sic], why should the police? Answer calls, take reports, TAKE YOUR PAYCHECK and go home. Dont be proactive, let the neighborhood destroy itself. Its not worth our lives or our career [sic.] If people want to live among criminals, thats [sic] their choice. I hope all the businesses that burned in Ferguson relocate and do not open shop in that town again. Police cant service people who cant [sic] serve and take care of themselves, their neighborhoods, so dont even try. -Unknown
