Limited Sunshine For A While SUNDAY FORECAST DISCUSSION: High pressure will slowly move off the East Coast today. Clouds will gradually clear out, briefly, this afternoon before thickening again tonight. Unsettled weather will be in place for the next several as a large storm crosses the country - arriving here on Wednesday. Skies will be just clear enough tonight to allow most locations to drop below freezing by Monday morning. With moisture moving in, there could be a brief period of sleet at the onset of precipitation before everything changes over to just a cold rain. No travel problems are expected and temperatures will rise into the low 40s Monday afternoon. Southerly winds will then take over and temperatures will be on a long, slow, steady climb from Monday night through Wednesday afternoon. The good news is that there will be no major snowstorm. The bad news is that this will be a BIG rain and wind producer. The worst of the weather is likely to be Wednesday afternoon. Holiday travelers should prepare to leave early or brace for major delays. Quieter weather returns on Christmas Day and will last into next weekend. SUNDAY: Morning Clouds Afternoon Clearing A Bit Warmer Wind: Variable 5 mph HIGHS: 40° - 44° SUNDAY NIGHT: Partly Cloudy Dry Seasonably Chilly Wind: Near Calm LOWS: 25° - 33° MONDAY: Mostly Cloudy Light Rain By Afternoon/Evening Periods Of Light Sleet Possible Wind: Northeast 4-8 mph HIGHS: 40°- 45°
