Liquid Courage: After a drive to the NOLA airport, I was in search of a daiquiri shop…Since I was headed to the ‘Sip and on ¼ tank of gas, I figured I would stop in NOLA East at a place that use to be pretty cool before Katrina (of course) and it was right by a gas station—killing 2 birds with 1 stone…Well things have changed—that’s for sure…the neighborhood is a little “different”—and by different, I mean hoodish—with the standard folks standing around looking unsavory…but, I didn’t care because I wanted, correction, NEEDED that hit…Leaving all valuables in the car, putting on my mean-mug face, like everyone else to blend in, I walked in…As I wait, one of the regulars was talking and cussing up a storm while relaying some stupid a$$ story waiting on the bartender to fix his, I’m sure, watered down daiquiri…I tell you-the cussing was making my ears bleed—and you know I cuss up a storm my damn self…I wanted to yell, “There’s a M-F’ing Lady present! Tone that Sh$t down!” Needless to say, I stomped myself back to my car, daring any stupid M-Fer to roll up on me…and drove myself across the causeway to Slidell—amongst the normal folks and got my DRANK & gas! [Im gangster about my daiquiris...Happy Monday!]
