This event is for anyone interested in obtaining, or tinkering with a raspberry Pi. This relaxed talk from Simon will give you a gentle introduction to the kind of things you may attempt. So if you are wondering what do with the Raspberry Pi thats been sitting on a shelf since Christmas, or about to invest. Why not come along and investigate the possibilities? The Raspberry Pi was designed for tinkering. It has expansion headers that make it easy to connect to external devices and an open operating system. This introductory talk shows you how to make your Pi interact with the outside world, from flashing LEDs to autonomous robots. Well show you examples of how to connect to lights, motors, and sensors. Hopefully Simon will be able to demonstrate one of his PI driven Robots at this initial talk.
