Little man ended up having a very big day! We had pre-op this morning at the hospital so we left the house around 10. Then we had our appointment with Orthopedics. We saw a different doctor for a second opinion and she feels that what our doctor had planned is for the best right now. We did learn that not only is Jacksons bone growing at a weird angle, it is also rotating because of the pressure he puts on it to walk. This was his bodies way of adapting to his bone growth...so they will have to fix not only the bone but the rotation...which is the hard part. We then headed back to the hospital for blood work. It was decided that we would go ahead and get his blood typed and get his counts. That way they have the information if they need it for Tuesday. We left the hospital at 4 and pulled into our driveway at about 7. Jackson was a rock star!!!! A 9 hour day and he is still smiling. We just love him to pieces!
