Little wild PPMV Hen...got in Tuesday. They were terrified and upset and starving when found...finder had force fed some formula and had them on Pennicillin for five days, when i happened along to visit. So, brought the little hen home with me. She was throwing up while the finder had her...not passing the formula well at all...and, we got that straightened out fairly quickly, thankfully...and crop has been passing nicely and some decent poops happening as of to-day. Her Eyes were oddly pale initially but have gotten their Orange rings back now. Anyway, I did suspect some bacterial troubles, and come canker starting in, so, we have been doing meds for those, and tube feedings with a nice fairly thin formula with apple sauce and goji-berry juice in it. Being as she had been so terrified and upset, to-night i decided to get her on to Lap Towel and do some gentle head and jaw bone and back of the head massages, and, though scared and confused and resisting at first, she soon settled into it, and was enjoying it and finally relaxed. We did some supervised pecking then, with my hand over her Head to limit the otherwise excessive Star Gazing. She seems quite content now, finally relaxed and getting it, that I am trying to help, so no worries.
