Livo Loi takes 4th in his best ever Moto3 GP result on his 17th Birthday. We have been enthusing about young Livio since he appeared last year and the young man seems to be on the verge of coming good. Whilst celebrating his 17th birthday this weekend Livo turned in the best performance of his young career much to the delight of his team and the Marc VDS team principal Michael Bartholemy. Loi took his Zircotec coated machine to within 8 hundredths of getting onto the podium for the first time. Despite losing some places at the start after not getting of the line as well as the team had hoped, the birthday boy settled in and started to put in some fast laps gradually catching and passing his rivals and went into the last lap with the leading three. Opting to go for the outside line when faced with the other riders in front of him he was forced a little wide as the others tripped each other up and just missed out on his first GP podium by fractions. Good luck in Spain next weekend Livio, were all right behind you.
