*** Lockdown Lifted*** AISD Campuses were temporarily placed in lockdown status this morning out of an abundance of caution due to a disturbance involving an armed individual at a business in Lillian. The event DID NOT take place on a campus and DID NOT involve the schools... However because of the proximity, and the initial unknown direction the person was going, law enforcement initiated lockdown procedures for all campuses in the district. The person(s) involved is now in custody and the lockdown has been lifted. The incident occurred in the jurisdiction of Johnson County Sheriffs Department so any specifics about the initial incident will have to come from them. We train closely with the school district for things like this and that training is apparent when situations occur and that training is tested. Great work to the school staff!!!
