Logan Castlebury update: Logan had a lumbar puncture done Tuesday, the 22nd @DUKE, (because she started having some neurological symptoms that appeared to be Bells palsy). She has numbness on the right side of her face, cant show facial emotions, having headache, & cant pronounce some words correctly. Friday the 26th, we received the news that the lymphoma cells were now present in the spinal fluid, so this is considered a relapse, as her initial tests of spinal fluid were negative in March 2014. She will have PET scan done Friday, Jan 2, to check for any other involvement. She will also be admitted to DUKE on Friday to start her new treatment. Eventually, she will have a catheter placed into a ventricle within the brain to give chemo directly to the spinal fluid & brain. End result is to get her prepared for a stem cell transplant. Needless to say, we will be at DUKE for months to come. We appreciate everyones prayers & financial contributions! As I am unable to work, because I am needed to be at the side of my daughter through this trial. Our 2 younger daughters, (Lauren is 18 years old, & Lindsay will be 16 in Jan) very much need your prayers & encouragement also!. This cancer has attacked us all... But the Castlebury family, with Gods help will win this battle! Our God, this community, our family & friends are unbelievably faithful & loving. Bunn Castlebury & our family are humbled by your love!
