Logos = Word, The Word = Jesus 1. The Divine wisdom manifest in the creation, government and redemption of the world and identified as the second person of the Trinity. 2. reason that in the ancient Greek philosophy is the controlling principle in the universe. I pulled these definitions from a standard dictionary, not a Bible dictionary or concordance. It is pretty amazing when you consider what is stated here. Even in the worlds language it is direct correlation and definition of our beloved Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. The Divine Wisdom=God, made manifest in man=Jesus, who created the world, the universe, Heaven and Earth. Government, the leader of the Kingdom, Gods creation. Jesus; Redemption of the world, the buying back, to purchase, to put back into right standing, to save. Even the non-Christian Greek philosophers stumbled onto the majesty of Jesus Christ. Is it not written that the universe is held up/together (controlling principle) by the power of Gods Word=Jesus. As we go about our day, ponder the magnificence of Gods Word, Jesus in our life. Where would we be if Jesus did not come? WOW can you imagine if we were still under Old Testament Law and God was still a God of wrath and anger? Entire nations, cultures, races would be wiped from this Earth for our disobedience to God. That is what God did in the old covenant. God could not bare watching us destroy ourselves in our sin and full out of relationship. Keeping of the Law does not work, it will NEVER bring us to God thorough our attempted perfect ways. So in His immeasurable mercy He sent us His Grace, our beloved Jesus, Gods Word. (John 3:16). Grace is not a doctrine it is a person and that person is Jesus Christ. How are we saved? By Grace! (Eph 2: 8-9) Father God I take this moment right now to say thank you for Your Word Jesus. Sometimes I get so caught up in the tasks of the day and temporary issues in life that I lose track of how much You truly love me, love us, love the world. I pray today that as I go about my day that I am reflection of Your love to all those that I interact with today. For in your Grace is our perfection.
