Loki updates: Spoke with Dr. Lina Bravo tonight at AVAH and she feels based on evidence that Loki might have chronic active hepatitis. Often an infection/inflammation is a sign of this, as well as ongoing liver issues. So a bile-acid test tomorrow, and possibly a liver biopsy to diagnose. His adrenal glands are also somewhat enlarged, possibly indicating early onset Cushings but as he is sick with something else, it is hard to tell so well have to wait until he is better. CAH is manageable but will require meds for life (lots of very expensive ones if I have understood correctly) and diet change to a liver supportive one. So not as great a diagnosis as yesterday for sure. Poor kid. His attending vet is on tomorrow so will have more news, and Ill go see him after work. Apparently he is looking bright though, drinking and peeing normally.
