Long back there was an analysis in an reputed American magazine, who has been Americas best president. Ratings were given and one or two traits were mentioned and also long lasting contribution to society and the country. I was thinking of Punab Chief ministers from 1947 till today. I put my best five among them and one top most quality and contribution. My humble assessment. This is just random. 1 Sardar Partap singh Kairon CM Loaded with intellect.Best education, roll of Honor.Division of Punjab would not have taken place if alive at that time. 2.Giani Zail singh Commoner. Always helped and gave lift to under privileged workers.Guru Gobind singh Marg idea and implementation. 3. Parkash singh badal CM Punjab. Best Mass contact any Chief Minister ever had. Five termer a near impossibility in Punjab politics. Looks simple but the wiliest hat Sikh leader we ever had. 4. S. Beant singh CM Punjab. Messiah of Peace. Felt happy obliging genuine workers and leaders. Had the great capacity to judge and evaluate a person.Loved talent. Disciplined. 5. Capt Amarinder Singh CM Punjab. Terminating all water accords, which went against the state. A large heart like a real Maharaja to forgive and forget. Magnetic touch of affection although short lived.Poorest ever mass contact but remained popular. Eagles eye on closest rivals in party and destroying them, when getting a chance.
