Long post - but hopefully you will read it and it will be worth it. I will have to say this is pretty damn cool. I am now a fan - always liked a couple of her songs (look up the Miami Dolphin Cheerleaders 22 video ;) ). But when a popular star does something like this, it is hard NOT to like her/him/them. Look up Peyton Manning searching for a family in Alaska...or Russell Wilson doing awesome things for people in Seattle Hospitals or Pat McAfee doing cool stuff for us right here in Indy! For us regular people - its cool that they know how much something like a headband/necklace, Mannings effort to find (for three months) the self proclaimed coolest wife ever so her husband can meet his favorite player, or the hope Wilson gives a child stuck in the hospital battling the deadliest of diseases or Pat helping out in our own backyard for our own heroes by giving the gift of security - means. How much it can IMPACT us. Pretty powerful stuff actually. These are four people that are doing great things! While they are busier than busy - they are in touch with the fact that without these people (US FANS) spending money on games, concerts, jerseys, CDs, etc., they would not be where they are. Anyway - I would suggest you look up the stories of the people above (I have shared many of them on my page before) and take a minute and ask - what can I do to brighten someones day? All it takes is a smile most days! But I think we all need to think in 2015 - how can we make the day brighter for someone else in this world. We are a self first society and frankly, I hate it. I long for the day that someone says lets do this together. Lets build something together. Lets work together. I saw that someone posted something about what my one word for this year is. For me, its IMPACT. I hope in 2015, I have IMPACT on someone - maybe not a big as Taylors video - or Peytons search - or Pats gifts or Russells faith and hope...but I hope in 2015 I can IMPACT someone in a positive way.
