Long worlds recap. There was no wifi at the new venue. Finally over, arrived at 8am for the girls, started my lifting at 730pm, finished my last lift at 230am, then had to wait til 4am for the group bus. I must admit this comp was terribly run for time, and many other smaller errors made it difficult to stay motivated. Considering the conditions I had to push through I guess I went ok, missed my own targets but still first u75 lifter by a mile (70kg or something?). (Will find out tomorrow regarding coefficient placings). Squats - 232.5/250.5/260(f) Bench - 162.5/175(f)/175 Dead - 250/261.5(f)/No 3rd Total - 675 far from pb, but pb in this weight div I suppose and current u75 aus all time record. New GPC wr, didnt bother to attempt a 4th bench at the wr after the slop that was my 175 and attempted the wr dead after nearly failing the 250... yes I legit thought it wasnt going to happen, we had to use the stiffest power bar ever that I think they stiffened up even more lol of course fatigue was an issue after this many hours but this bar was so dead from the ground, it makes my 28.5mm stiff oly bars I train with look like slinkies. Met some cool foregin peeps, randomly cheering each other on and psyching each other up in languages we couldnt understand lol. Never heard you are very strong! In so many languages lol Proud of my girlfriend Caitlin Ross who not only was the only one to stay (nothing against the others I fully understand) and keep me motivated when I wanted to boycott the comp (yes it was that shittly run, we have it miles too good in Aus) but had also competed herself, narrow miss on a pb squat, big pb bench and almost equaling pb deadlift but also feeling the wrath of lord stiff bar supreme. Thank you for keeping me together, fed and hydrated. Thanks to all those back home for your support, I wish I had performed better for you all but I struggled with all the travel, waiting times and comp issues. Thank you to the rest of Aus team (Tim, Ricky, Jason, Belinda, Vicki, TJ) for their words throughout the day and thank you to my sponsors Now for some time off lifting to rebuild the injuries Ive aquired in this one comp alone... (left shoulder, previous spine issue, left bicep and left shoulder blade, all that fatigue time crushed me), one week will do, push/pull awaits!
