Look out this afternoon...email from emergency management: Spoke with NWS US National Weather Service La Crosse Wisconsin this morning. Our local hazardous weather outlook calls for storms this afternoon. The atmosphere is unstable, and it is hard to predict if the storm(s) will pack a punch, or be simple rain producers. It all hinges on the sun. If we get a lot of sun, our afternoon storms could be strong with some higher wind gusts. If it remains cloudy, we could receive afternoon rain showers. Timing is 2 – 5 pm for arrival. Look for a storm front to move in from the west. For this weekend, the forecast models are showing rain. How much and where is the big question. If you have outdoor activities, consult your favorite weather source more often.
