Looking for some advice from anyone who has ever vacationed in the Outer Banks, NC. We would like to take the kids to the aquarium while we are there (we will be staying in Corolla) but the aquarium I wanted to visit (Pine Knoll Shores) is like 4 1/2 hours from where we are staying. They have one on Roanoke Island which is about 2 1/2 hours.....but it really doesnt look as nice and no where as big as the other one. We want to see lots of tanks with fish (salt water & fresh tanks) not just otters and alligators and it just doesnt look like Roanoke Island has big water displays. Which I know both aquariums have these things but Im looking for opinions on whether or not we should travel the extra distance to go to Pine Knoll?
