Looking to reduce your parking permit costs and register early? RIT employees who register for a carpool pay just a fraction of the normal permit price and can begin registering now! Each registered carpooler will pay a percentage of the parking permit fee based on the number of people in the carpool (ex: someone in a 2-person carpool will pay 50% the normal price). All members of a carpool will share one hangtag that can be transferred from one vehicle to another. At this time, only Faculty and Staff are eligible for a carpool permit. Registration for carpools is open immediately. All other RIT students, faculty, and staff can begin registering for 2013-14 parking permits on August 12th at 8 AM. To register for a carpool, submit the application form available on the Parking & Transportation Services website: https://rit.edu/fa/facilities/pats/parking/carpooling-application-form. *In order to receive your first pick of parking lots by registering for carpool early, please submit your forms by 8 AM on Friday, August 9th.
