Looks like we are getting hit again with this storm right now A Tornado Watch is in effect for southeastern Alabama, southwestern Georgia and the Florida Panhandle. Dothan, Ala., Albany, Ga., and Tallahassee, Fla., are included. Thunderstorms are charging into Florida`s Panhandle. As the storms slide east into southern Georgia and the eastern Carolinas this afternoon and tonight, the biggest threat they will pose is gusty winds in excess of 60 mph. A few tornadoes are possible as well. Cities like Tallahassee, Fla., Columbus and Savannah, Ga., Charleston, S.C., and Wilmington, N.C., should be on guard for severe weather. Low pressure spinning across the Mid-South is helping to fuel additional showers and thunderstorms from the eastern Gulf Coast into the Carolinas. Tallahassee, Fla., has tallied almost 3 inches of rain while totals have reached 1 to 1.60 inches in southern Georgia and southeastern South Carolina. The heaviest axis of rain will be found in the eastern Carolinas where totals will exceed 2 inches through tonight.
